Ward update!

Northfield Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were out patrolling the ward and visiting addresses and locations known for anti-social behaviour and drug activity. We have issued a resident who was contributing to Anti-social behaviour with an Anti-Social Behaviour warning Notice as a form of early intervention in order for the behaviours to cease.

Yesterday afternoon we visited a male who had reported theft and fraud of his bank card and took some details. Whilst on patrol we then tracked down the female suspect on Darwin ROAD W5 who was also wanted for a recall to prison, The female was arrested, taken to custody and charged. 

Northfield SNT have also been working towards gaining a closure order for an address on Venetia Road which has contributed to having a detrimental effect on the community. Many residents have assisted in the process and court hearing should be taking place later this week.

On Saturday 31st January we held a successful bike marking event outside Northfield tube station. Officers marked 9 bicycles and added them to the National Bike register which can reduce the risk of bikes being stolen and registered residents to Met Engage. 

On Thursday 29th January we held a library drop session / ASB surgery in Northfield library. Residents discussed issues relating to Anti-social behaviour in the local area and provided valuable information to local officers to action when on our patrols. Residents mentioned that Thefts of parcels were still prominent in the area however this has not reflected in our crime figures. We advise residents to please report to police if a parcel/ delivery has been stolen so we are aware of the locations the incidents are taking place and may assist us in catching the perpetrators. Please see some advice below relating to parcel thefts.
